Description
The purpose of this class is to provide students the opportunity to develop a health promotion program. Students in this class will learn the steps in the planning process, including developing a rationale, gaining support of stakeholders, selecting an appropriate model and theory, conducting a needs assessment, developing goals and objectives, determining the appropriate health education strategies to use in a health promotion program. This course will continue in the spring as Health Program Planning II (HEDU 4220). The purpose of Part II is to develop strategies for evaluating the success of health education programs.
