Description
In this class you'll learn the techniques you need to connect metal and design elements, creating a pendant for a necklace without the use of heat or a torch. Piercing, riveting, tab setting, basic wrapping and texturing metal will be discussed. A materials kit will be provided with all the components to make one pendant. Beads and wire are included or you can add your own components to create a truly unique piece. A list of required and suggested tools will be provided, with advice on where to purchase, prior to class. Students can expect to spend between $50 - $100 on tools, depending on what they already have. Course can be taken individually or in conjunction with other Jewelry Maker Series courses to create one complete pendant necklace. All courses in this series use the same set of tools.
