Description
In this exciting new class, participants will identify and discuss themes in Nigerian short stories spanning from the 1970's to the present, gaining expansive knowledge in the country's history and culture along the way. They will also examine content, voice, and style in these works, emphasizing global citizenry and cultural relativism. Writers include renowned names in African literature, such as Flora Nwapa and Amos Tutuola, and others who have received global acclaim: Chinua Achebe and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.
