Description
Introduction to the mechanics of biological tissues, with an emphasis on large deformations; index and direction notation, tensors, deformation gradient, conservation laws, finite deformation strain and stress tensors, constitutive equations, hyperelasticity, cell mechanics, ligaments and tendons, skin, blood vessels, skeletal muscle, cardiac muscle, smooth muscle, and the constitutive/flow properties of blood.
