Description
This is the second of two courses designed to provide the student with didactic preparation in the concepts of advanced neonatal physiology and pathophysiology. This course provides the student with a foundation in embryology, physiology, pathophysiology and the management of common neonatal disease processes.  Normal physiology and common pathophysiologic states of the neonate are presented using a systems approach. Topics include musculoskeletal, integumentary, hematopoietic, ears, eyes, nose and mouth/throat, infectious diseases as well as intrauterine drug exposure.
