Description
This course builds on the framework, concepts, and readings from Osher 159: Why Nations Succeed or Fall Apart, taught in spring, summer and fall of 2020. Students will be involved in applying the framework and concepts to identify and analyze the threats and critical junctures faced by the United States and other democracies around the world. A guest speaker will provide insights about how political appointees in the U.S. Executive Branch can affect government operations and impact the functioning of democratic institutions.
