Description
This elective course builds on the Oral Radiology course. Students will learn not only how to properly prescribe and acquire a CBCT volume, but how to visually scan it for abnormalities or send it to an OM radiologist for interpretation. Course content will include the following: Requesting and interpreting a radiology report, Recognizing deviations from normal, including pathology, Evaluating sites for potential implant placement, Creating reconstructed panoramic and skull views, Evaluating TMJ disorders, Evaluating airway space, and Converting DICOM files to STL files for milling and 3D printing
