Description
This is an online course offered for in-service school counselors and other educational professionals. The course teaches the importance of college and career readiness for students today, and illustrates how to promote college and career readiness in a school setting. The course is presented through three modules. In module one, participants learn how to create a college-going culture for all students, including effective strategies for working with diverse populations. In the second module, participants learn the effective use of college, career, and academic planning. Module three teaches participants how to help students work through the college and financial aid application process. The course emphasizes the importance of using data-driven interventions and contains information and materials specific to the state of Utah.
