Description
This course develops practical skills in contemporary art practices and teaching for MFA students. Graduate students explore conceptual issues through readings, writings, lectures, and discussions. Students incorporate these art concepts into a personal art practice. Students create a professional portfolio to prepare for teaching, residencies, and exhibition opportunities following graduation. Students are required to enroll for three semesters for a total of nine credits during their two-year program. The course is led by rotating faculty to facilitate an inventive, challenging, and dynamic experience.
