Description
Misunderstood as a boy's adventure book or as only a dialogue on race, Mark Twain's "Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" (1885) instead addressed youth violence and bad boys, schools and parents, and cvil rights and minstrel shows. The novel, banned in New England then (and elsewhere today), needs to be read anew for a better understanding of America, then and now.
