Description
This course will be an eye-opening lecture series on visual function and the most common conditions causing low vision and blindness. Each week's topic will be a different disease or part of the eye with a focus on improving and maintaining eye health. Six specialists will review the common conditions they treat: Monika Fleckenstein, MD on age-related macular degeneration updates; Jeff Pettey, MD, MBA on cataracts/comprehensive eye health; Doug Marx, MD on eyelid surgery and other oculoplastic topics; David Meyer, OD on refractive errors and corrective lenses; Akbar Shakoor, MD on retinal detachment and autoimmune disease; and Austin Nakatsuka, MD will discuss glaucoma.
