DENT 7642 - Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic 3 Pathway

The D3 student will continue to shadow the D4 in the oral surgery clinic when they have the time to do so. A log will be kept of the type of surgery observed. The D3 student will attend the OMFS study club organized by senior students who are going on to an OMFS residency. The D3 student will challenge the CBSE at least one time. The D3 student must pass the oral and maxillofacial surgical competency to then continue as a D4 student in the clinic. The D3 student if interested in a residency will present the Section Head of OMFS with a well-prepared CV in order to write a recommendation letter for an externship.
