Description
Successful corporations can utilize data science techniques (predictive analytics and data mining) to help drive business decision making by analyzing very large datasets (big data). In this course, a hands-on practitioner's approach is taken to learning the fundamental knowledge, techniques and tools required for analyzing big data and leading data science teams. Topics covered include framing a business challenge as an analytics problem, using a structured lifecycle approach to data analytics, and applying the appropriate analytic techniques to analyze big data effectively. Hands-on experience is gained using open source tools such as R and Hadoop.
