Description
A skills training course that uses text materials, problems, simulated courtroom settings, student performance, and faculty critique to teach basic trial advocacy skills. This course is comprised of two sessions per week: 1) an all-class lecture on a weekday; and 2) a smaller evening section on an assigned weeknight. The course concludes with a mock trial at the state courthouse. PRE- OR CO-REQUISITE: Evidence. Note: Second-year students intending to enroll in the year-long Criminal Process Externship during their third year should enroll in Evidence and Trial Advocacy during their second year. Counts toward the experiential education requirement.
