Description
The Innocence Clinic is an intensive, two-semester course where students represent incarcerated clients in Utah, Wyoming and Nevada who are claiming actual innocence. With faculty support and supervision, Innocence Clinic students work with Rocky Mountain Innocence Center staff to investigate their clients’ innocence claims, and prepare those claims for litigation. In this process, students learn traditional lawyering and advocacy skills that are transferable not only to other post-conviction and criminal work, but also to civil litigation.
