Description
This course provides instruction in the design of experiments related to thermal, fluid, and energy systems. The course focuses on hands-on learning through weekly laboratory activities that transition from controlled experiments to semi-structured experiments to open-ended experiments as the semester progresses. Primary topics covered include uncertainty analysis, measurement techniques, sensor calibration, reverse engineering strategies, statistical analysis of data, modeling, optimization, and design of experiments with several factors.
