Description
The Complex Pediatric Problems course focuses on the identification of common conditions of pediatric patients. The identification of common pediatric conditions, differential diagnosis and evidence-based management will be emphasized. Developmentally appropriate management of common pediatric problems will be taught. The inclusion of parents, guardians, or caregivers in this process will be stressed. Focus of the course includes prescribing of medication, caregiver and patient education, prevention, and ongoing care. This course builds on the content in NURS 6041, Common Pediatric Problems.
