Description
From a broad perspective, all healthcare professions need effective leadership, and in turn effective advocacy, to deal with the numerous issues facing the health care system. This two credit elective is offered to provide leadership and political advocacy development for student pharmacists and PhD students in the College of Pharmacy who desire to become leaders in the profession. Students will examine leadership as they explore current health care issues and gain direct experience in the advocacy process and community action. To meet these needs, the goals of this course are to strengthen the leadership ability of students and to enhance their potential for future leadership and advocacy roles within their profession and in the community.
