Description
The purpose of this course is to provide students with fundamentals of solid organ transplantation. This course will begin with an overview of transplantation, the history of transplantation, and an immunology review. Post-transplant management of kidney, pancreas, liver, heart, and lung transplants will be discussed. Students will learn about the various phases of immunosuppression across different organ transplants. Finally, students will also have the opportunity to learn about commonly encountered infectious diseases in immunosuppressed patients.
