Description
This is the first pediatric course in the PNP/FNP/NNP/AGNP curriculum that focuses on well-child care including pediatric development, health promotion, and physical exam findings specific to children and adolescents. Students are required to attend according to the course schedule and complete all activities and assignments. The course focuses on knowledge of a developmental approach to health promotion and disease prevention of pediatric population within the family context. This includes mastery of obtaining age appropriate health history, pediatric specific examination skills, and developmental surveillance with the goal of health promotion and anticipatory guidance.
