Description
Please join us for a month of hikes in the beautiful Wasatch Mountains! We will travel on the crest of the Wasatch as we ascend ridgelines and summit small peaks. There will be great views of the mountains and surrounding valleys. Also on our journey, we will investigate wilderness navigation and survival skills. This is a moderate hiking class with plenty of opportunities to rest. Throughout the hike we will travel around 2 miles, ascending and descending roughly 500 feet in elevation. Class members will learn in a relaxed, fun environment. All hikes will meet near Parleys Summit just off I-80 for quick access to the mountains and cool temps, then caravan to nearby trailheads. Each hike will start from a different trail head and explore new terrain.
