Description
5...4...3...2...1 - liftoff! We are headed into space to explore our solar system! Throughout the week, learn about our unique solar system, see the sun in a way you will never see it again (unless you become a sun scientist), and discover how light pollution is affecting astronomy. You will also learn about comets, meteors, and asteroids; and how scientists use probes to visit them. Plus, you will use the campus as a model to walk through the solar system, build a light shield to help keep the stars visible at night, and visit the Clark Planetarium. This camp is truly out of this world! Co-sponsored with the Department of Physics and Astronomy.
