Description
Few visitors, and surprisingly even less residents, of Utah know the rich and storied mining history of the state. From the first explorations for gold and silver, to the boom of copper and coal, and even to the post-World War II expansion of radioactive mineral mining, Utah has had a multi-billion dollar mining industry since the 1860s. Through traditional history, music, and lots and lots of photos, come enjoy a tour of Utah's mining history and learn why mining in Utah was often called a big hole with a liar at the top.
