Description
Through readings, including poetry, history, and philosophy, and other artifacts (works of art), drawn from at least two different traditions (e.g., Africa, Asia/China, the West, among others), the course examines how different traditions share commonalities, and also how they diverge. The issues addressed may include, but aren’t limited to: political ideals, conceptions of virtue, attitudes toward nature, views about family, and religious beliefs
