Description
This course is a hands-on introduction to intermediate business intelligence concepts with an emphasis on visualization in Tableau and its place within the life of a healthcare analyst. The course will provide foundational skills needed to be successful in any analytics role. Students will use Microsoft Excel and Tableau to analyze, validate, prepare, and visualize data to solve operational healthcare problems. Course topics will include an introduction to Tableau, SQL, data preparation and validation, formula and variable calculations, Geo-mapping, dashboard interactivity, and an introduction to automation concepts. This course is a continuation of the concepts learned in Business Intelligence I. Students should begin the course familiar with intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. This includes the following topics: Filtering, Sorting, Pivot Tables & Pivot Charts, Intermediate Functions, vlookup(), Nested If Logic.
