Description
Gesture drawing is the art of capturing what your subject is doing, not what it looks like. It is a skill used by masters of fine art, including wildlife artists. You'll expand your knowledge by studying the gesture drawings of great masters, then practice gesture from images on screen or objects in your home. Finally, you'll launch into drawing the moving, magnificent animals and birds at the zoo. You will be pleased to find your drawings do look like your subject, but are also full of life, movement, and a direct connection to the animal. At the end of the day, we'll regroup to share our experiences and drawings!
