Prerequisites: Graduate status in Nursing OR Instructor Consent.
Description
The fourth in a series, building on Practicum I, II, and III this course supports nurse midwifery and women’s health nurse practitioner students’ progress towards an independent role of the safe beginning practitioner. Students apply didactic knowledge and clinical skills in the provision of women’s health care throughout the life span, with an ability to identify abnormal findings. Students will demonstrate increased skills in patient assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and a more independently develop and implement a plan of care. They work under supervision of faculty preceptors. This is a credit/no credit course.
