OSHER 494 - Uniquely Utah: Beyond the Fab Five

This course is a visual journey exploring some of Utah's unique locations beyond our five fabulous national parks. Together we will discover some of our state's hidden gems found off the beaten path, using videos, slide presentations, photographs, art, and storytelling. In each class, we will get to know a specific region of Utah as we take an in-depth look at the Parowan Gap, the Mars Desert Research Station, Pando, and Nine Mile Canyon (one of Utah's best archeological sites). Class members will receive short readings prior to each class session to prepare for that week's topic.
