Description
Building upon the students’ background in creative dance teaching, this course is designed to help students gain knowledge and experience developing effective and individualized creative dance instruction for students with varying disabilities. Students will learn about various disabilities and considerations for accessibility and inclusion, and better understand individualized adaptations and supports during a creative dance lesson. Students will join select schools in the community to observe and learn from other creative dance instructors, reflect upon those observations, and develop and teach creative dance lessons of one’s own design with mentorship.
