Description
This course provides an introduction to the professional practice of behavioral mental health under the supervision of a licensed professional in a school or community setting. There are two components to this course: (1) a 200-hour practicum experience, and (2) attendance and participation in the Practicum course. This course is designed to provide a supportive, structured learning environment for acquiring clinical experience with volunteer clients. Practicum builds on the foundation provided by academic and experiential coursework, life experiences, and personal values. It allows students to develop a meaningful framework for the application of behavioral mental health interventions.
