Description
Criminal Procedure: Adjudication explores the meaning of the Fifth Amendment, Sixth Amendment, Eight Amendment, and Equal Protection Clause of the U.S. constitution as they apply to the rights of criminal defendants when charged with a crime, released on bail, brought before a grand jury or during sentencing, plea bargaining and a jury trial. The course reviews the criminal process from "bail to jail" and the rights and procedures involved. The course examines the criminal justice system participants and their respective responsibilities.
