Description
Lipreading, also known as speechreading, can boost spoken language comprehension for those with hearing loss. A common misconception about reading lips is that it is lip shapes only. This is not accurate; it is a combination of strategies. The first three weeks of this class will focus on setting the stage for lipreading, nonverbal cues, and using logic. For the second three weeks, we will work with the visible lip shapes.
