Description
This course will be the third in our chess series. We will mainly be focusing on how we can devise and execute successful plans throughout the different phases of the game. Our discussions will involve analyzing actual games played in the last two centuries and developing heuristic ideas that are applicable in similar positions. In each session, we will first discuss some of these concepts and then work in pairs to practice and learn how to apply them in our games. The second part of the class will aim to be playtime, where we get a chance to play actual games with other class members or play collectively against online opponents and think out loud as a group.
