Description
This course will cover the history of Eugenics and medical experimentation on Black, Indigenous, and Latinx peoples. This history will serve as the foundational lens for discussion on traditional ethical topics such as IRB, collaboration, etc. The primary learning objective is a clear understanding of the historical basis of current racial medical bias and disparities as well as recognition of the presence of bias in scientific experimental design and data interpretation.
