Course Detail
Course Components:
Political Geography has a focus on the spatial dimensions of borders, migration, violent conflict, elections, trade, and natural resource use. Regions around the world are increasingly interconnected--through communications and economic ties--but global events also underscore the importance of political divisions in addition to similarities and policy agreements. The course investigates the organization and distribution of political systems worldwide, including their impact on other components of modern societies and culture. And it provides students an opportunity to expand their awareness, understanding, and appreciation of the global political divisions that define our diverse world.
