Meets Thursdays, July 11, 18, 25, Aug.1. This course presents an advanced survey of voice management across the gender spectrum, focusing on voice care for transgender and gender-diverse individuals. Students will explore issues in consultation, assessment, treatment strategies, generalization, and maintenance. This course will discuss cultural competency and culturally sensitive approaches to treatment. Coursework will include reviewing relevant literature to support evidence-based practice in gender-affirming voice care.
