Description
History comes alive in this interactive historical experience! Play a series of tabletop games recreating decisive battles fought on the beaches of France by American, British and German troops in June,1944. These critical battles sealed the fate of Hitler's Germany, leading to its total collapse less than one year later. Memoir '44, the featured game, is an accessible, tactical-level, modular game system that is easy to learn and fast to play by using a combination of battle dice, Command Cards, terrain tiles and plastic figures representing tank, infantry and artillery units. Students will first set up the unique terrain and combat forces for each battle, then jump right into the fun of issuing orders to troops in pursuit of battlefield objectives. Students will also learn about the historical context for the D-Day Campaign as well as the key battlefield tactics used to achieve victory. It's time to invade the beaches and make history! Co-sponsored with Game Night Games.
