Description
Introduction to compositional semantics of natural language. Explores how the meaning of phrases, sentences, and discourses are calculated from the meanings of their component parts and the formal syntactic structures in which they are embedded. It may introduce predicate logic, Montague grammar, lambda calculus, the Chomsky Hierarchy, Turing machines, inferences and infinities in natural language.
