NURS 6014 - Foundations of Leadership in Nursing

This course emphasizes components of leadership in healthcare with a focus on foundational thinking skills to coach and lead others, problem solve, innovate methods for best practice to advance the discipline of nursing. Personal journeys are explored to understand self and to make changes for self-improvement. Systems thinking is applied through consideration of interrelationships and boundaries existing in a system to ascertain holistic view for analysis. Change management theories are reviewed to effectively manage the constant of organizational change.
