Description
This course will build off of our previous work in the Foundations of Curriculum Design and Evaluation course and apply these concepts to an advanced 1 credit course. This course will look at both curricular and programmatic evaluation. This course begins with a review of the basics of individual curriculum evaluation from the Foundations of Curriculum and Evaluation course. Then we will expand to a variety of curricular evaluation types including mixed methods, focus groups, and standardized rubric use for curricular evaluation, as well as curriculum and course evaluation through an equity, diversity, and inclusion lens. The second half of the course will shift from individual curriculum evaluation into program evaluation, including planning for program evaluation, and both qualitative and quantitative approaches to evaluation.
