Description
Fundamental quantitative concepts in molecular and cellular biology for engineering students and nonbiology majors; physical, mechanical and mathematical basis of cell shape, function, and motility stressing cellular biochemistry, protein synthesis, biochemical structure-function relationships, and energy transduction. The course covers several important cell types, including epithelial, nerve, muscle, connective tissue cells, and the specialized cells of the immune system.
