Description
First of a 2-course sequence in nursing knowledge. Focus is on a variety of metatheoretical approaches to knowing and knowledge development. Philosophical assumptions and methodological approaches associated with various ways of knowing are examined. Historical evolution of nursing metatheory and future trends and issues around knowing and knowledge development for the human science of nursing included.
