Description
Provides an overview of the specialty of occupational health nursing (OHN) to include history, scope, boundaries, practice levels, roles and various workplace environments. Provides for historical events that had an impact on the developing role of OHN. Articulates the similarities and differences from other community health nursing specialties as it supports the profession of nursing overall. Provides knowledge regarding OSHA regulations and the relationship between OHN and human resources regulations and practices. Creates model(s) for professional OHN practice ot include systems, record keeping, code of ethics, and regulatory compliance.
