Description
UGS 1290 and its companion course UGS 1291 span the development of western technology from the Bronze Age to the end of the 19th century. UGS 1290 is taught from a humanities perspective, and will meet with UGS 1291 for two lectures per week. Students taking the course for humanities credit will meet separately, for a third lecture a week, from students taking the course for science credit. Separate examinations will be held for each group, the assignments will be different, and UGS 1290 will be graded from a humanities perspective.
