Description
UGS 1291 and its companion course UGS 1290 span the development of western technology from the Bronze Age to the end of the 19th century. UGS 1290 is taught from a science perspective, and will meet with UGS 1290 for two lectures per week. Students taking the course for science credit will meet separately, for a third lecture a week, from students taking the course for humanities credit. Separate examinations will be held for each group, the assignments will be different, and UGS 1291 will be graded from a humanities perspective.
