Description
High mountain valleys (above 6,500 feet) pose a distinctive challenge for gardeners. Learn how to create and maintain an attractive landscape by using plants that can adapt to high-altitude climate and zone limitations. The class will also study soil preparations; how to avoid winter kill; effective irrigation; and specific perennial flowers, shrubs, and trees chosen from a list of proven mountain winners. Sheri is a landscape designer and owner of Woodland Flowers Nursery, near Kamas.
