Description
During this adventurous session, participate in a full range of amazing outdoor activities provided on the Wasatch front. Find something delightful about this week if you are an energetic outdoor recreationist, rock climber, hiker, mountaineer, or just one who enjoys being in the sunshine and playing outdoors. Hike to beautiful places such as Secret Lake, Donut Falls or Willow Lake. Travel with naturalists who will teach us about wildflowers, map and compass, and "leave no trace" ethics. Older students will learn how to be safe and survive in the wilderness with guidance from the University of Utah's Outdoor Wilderness Medicine Program. Younger students will also learn about outdoor safety, trail principles, and geography. Take a hike above the University and discover the natural rock living room overlooking the valley. See the colors, hear the sounds, and feel the breeze while experiencing Utah's beautiful landscape. Remember to bring closed-toed shoes, sun block, and water bottles daily.
