Description
Participate in a river trip on the Fisher Towers section of the Colorado River in the Moab area. Spend the first night camping at the Dewey Bridge campground and hiking the area surrounding camp. The next day, learn about the river, river safety, and all the other things that we will need to be safe and have fun while rafting the rapids. Meander through red rock canyons swimming, paddling or lying back enjoying the spectacular scenery of Fisher Towers. Short interpretive hikes, sand volleyball, stories and singing, stargazing and other activities are available while in camp at Onion Creek the second night. The tour will finish with sweeping views of fiery canyon walls and four moderate rapids. Professor, Ida Gulch, Cloudburst and White's rapids will create enough white water excitement to make you "hold-on" and enjoy the ride. Students and parents are required to attend a pre-trip orientation session on June 19 from 5:30-7:00 pm.
