Description
This course treats influential writer of French-speaking Caribbean, examining their literary, cultural, and political works and their relation to other Hispanic cultures of the area. Includes a discussion of literary and cultural movements of Caribbean writers such as Negritude, the role of Haiti in Caribbean thought, and the Creole movement in the French territories of Martinique and Guadeloupe. Course taught in English.
