Eat your way through Italy! We'll begin the journey in the Trentino Alto Adige as we roll our own gnocchi con las ricotta (potato pasta dumplings with ricotta cheese in a butter sauce). Next comes Tuscany, where we learn to make a belly-warming soup of leeks, mushrooms, swiss chard, and pecorino romano shavings. Then on to the Abruzzo Molise area: we'll create a salad with tiny fried saffron mozarella cheeses and asparagus. Rounding out our food tour will be the classic dessert: Tiramisu, from the capital city of Rome.
